AD/DA Conversion

Similarly to the Symphony I/O MKII, Symphony Desktop's AD converter stage features ultra-low distortion, high-slew rate, and fully differential analog op-amps. Not to mention a cutting edge A/D converter in a performance-enhancing dual-sum configuration. So you can create with the confidence that every nuance of your analog input will be faithfully reproduced
D/A Conversion

Employing brand new technology, the Symphony Desktop's D/A stage provides uncompromising Symphony DAC performance. Including a robust ultra-low distortion, high-current output driver, while remaining completely portable. Regardless of downstream connections, the Symphony Desktop provides a transparent, widescreen window into the sonic landscape of your mix.

Mic Preamps

At the core of the input stage, Symphony Desktops mic preamps offer up to 75dB of gain. Boasting a design that sports Apogees unique Advanced Stepped Gain Architecture, the Symphony Desktop ensures ultra-low noise and distortion. No matter whether its a pounding kick drum or delicate fingerpicking on an acoustic guitar. Plus, with variable impedance settings on both mic and instrument inputs; the Symphony Desktop optimizes the input stage to better match your specific devices. Maintaining deep lows and clear highs. Selectable Apogee Alloy mic preamp emulations also work to add character, attitude, and grit to your recordings.

Headphone Outputs

Finally, the Symphony Desktop features two completely independent, ultra-low impedance headphone outputs. Individually routable, and equipped with dual-sum ESS DACs. The front panel output can drive virtually any headphones. While the rear panel output is best suited for your high-efficiency headphones.
